What does CB mean?

CB stands for chastity belt or chastity cage. It’s a lock on the genitals that someone else holds the key to. On profiles and checklists the abbreviation often gets confused with CBT, and those are two very different things.

What does a chastity belt or cage look like?

The belt comes in two forms. The encyclopedia describes how, among male chastity devices, the cages that close around the penis and scrotum only are the most popular, followed by the sturdier models that go around the waist like a full belt. In both cases the metal isn’t what does the work. The lock is. Someone else opens it.

The historical weight the word carries is mostly myth. The encyclopedia is firm on this. There’s no credible evidence that chastity belts existed before the fifteenth century, well over a century after the last crusade, and most museum pieces now count as nineteenth-century forgeries. So it isn’t some medieval custom that stuck around. It’s mainly a modern practice.

What is the difference between CB and CBT?

CB and CBT are opposites, one letter apart. CB is about denial. Nothing happens, and that’s the point. That’s a historical passage, but the logic hasn’t changed. Anything that sits against the skin for days needs cleaning and checking.
