Central, and you feel it

Utrecht province lies right in the middle of the country, and for dates that is especially handy. From Amsterdam I am in the city of Utrecht in half an hour, in Amersfoort in forty minutes, and in similar time in Zeist, Nieuwegein or Woerden. A short trip means modest travel costs and more room in the calendar.

It means something for you too. If you would rather not meet in your own town, the next city here is always around the corner. In this province you never have to drive far to be anonymous.

Two faces

Utrecht is a province of extremes sitting close together. On one side the city, busy, young, lively, with an inner city where no one keeps an eye on anyone. On the other side the Heuvelrug, forest, estates, quiet, and villages where the baker knows who had visitors yesterday.

That second side asks for more care, and I am set up for it. In Zeist, Driebergen or Bunnik I park somewhere other than in central Utrecht, and I arrive without anyone wondering who is walking there.

What you can do here

A walk across the Utrechtse Heuvelrug is among the finest in the country, certainly outside the weekend. The estates near Zeist and Doorn. The Loosdrechtse Plassen on the north side. And in the city, the wharves along the Oudegracht, the Dom Tower, a boat, a terrace you forget to leave.

But none of this is required. For many women it is nicer to sit somewhere quiet right away and begin there. That is not a lesser evening. It is simply a different one.

What I come across in this province

Women who are married and have not really been touched in years. Women who have just divorced and wonder whether they have lost the knack. Women with busy jobs and a calendar that holds nothing for themselves. Women after a death. Women who have never experienced any of this and think it is too late for that. It is not.

What it is not

It is no agency with a catalog to pick someone from. No go-between. You write with me, and me you meet. No list of acts is ticked off beforehand and I do not work with a script.

There is nothing to prove. You do not have to look like someone on the internet, you do not have to prove anything, and you have nothing to apologize for.

Practical

Travel costs are limited in this province and you hear them beforehand, before anything is fixed. There are no surcharges for evenings, nights, weekends or public holidays, and booking as a couple costs nothing extra. Where we meet

In the city of Utrecht and in Amersfoort a hotel is nearly always the easiest route. Plenty of rooms, plenty of coming and going, no one who notices a thing. In the villages on the Heuvelrug it is different, and there many women deliberately choose a place outside their own municipality. Sensible, and I am glad to think along.

Home works anywhere, as long as you feel at ease there. That is the only criterion. Then I arrive discreetly. No flowers, no loud greeting on the doorstep, and I park where you want, a street away if need be.

How it goes

It starts with a message. Where you are, roughly what you are after and when you could. Short is fine, two sentences. A reply rarely takes longer than a day.

After that we keep talking until it feels right for you. Texting, a call, or a coffee first with no obligation to take it further. What is going to happen and what it costs, the drive included, is clear beforehand. The final amount is the amount you already knew.

During the date you set the pace, even if it changes halfway through. I do not work with a script and I keep no scorecard.
