Gigolo in Emmen

The largest municipality in Drenthe, spaciously laid out with woods and peatland all around. A good two hours' drive.

Large, green and spaciously laid out

With a good hundred and nine thousand residents, Emmen is the largest municipality in Drenthe. It consists of a central hub with a string of villages around it: Klazienaveen, Nieuw-Amsterdam, Erica, Schoonebeek. Everything sits spread out, with plenty of green between.

From Amsterdam it’s a good two hours’ drive. Too far for a short evening, just right for a date that runs on or an overnight stay.

What we can do together

The Rensenpark, the old zoo grounds that are now a public park in the middle of the city. The megalithic tombs near Emmen, of which there are more here than anywhere else. The Veenpark at Barger-Compascuum, about the peat-cutting past of this area. And the woods of the Emmerdennen, where within ten minutes you meet no one.

A little further lies the Bargerveen, a raised bog on the German border where it’s utterly quiet.

Who I come here for

For married women whose home no longer holds the touch they’re looking for. For women who stayed in the same village after a divorce. For widows, who are startled by what their body wants again. Just as much for women who live in a small community where this can’t be discussed with anyone, and this area has plenty of those.

And for couples who want to try something together. My services show what’s possible.

Discretion in southeast Drenthe

This is where it really matters. In a peatland village people notice who has visitors and which car doesn’t belong. I keep that in mind, always.

Where the car ends up is your call; a walk is no objection. No flowers, no loud greeting on the doorstep, no ringing again if you don’t open right away. And if anyone asks who I am, I stick to the story you came up with. Feel free to think that up beforehand, so you don’t have to improvise on the spot.

That is why a lot of women choose a hotel or a holiday home over home, sometimes a municipality further along. Sensible, and I’m glad to think along.

Germany is around the corner

The border is fifteen minutes away. Anyone who’d rather meet entirely outside their own surroundings can go across: Meppen, Lingen or Nordhorn. I speak German, so that’s no problem at all. See also my page about Germany.

How a first date goes

First we write a bit. I ask a few questions, you ask a few questions, and somewhere in there you feel whether it fits. If you’d rather call first, we call. If you’d rather meet calmly first with nothing else happening, then we do that.

On the day itself nothing goes fast. First sitting, first talking, and the rest only follows when you’re there.

What we agree about money

Before anything is set you know the whole picture: what we do, how long, what it costs, and the travel costs for the drive to Drenthe. Nothing is added afterward. No surcharge for the evening, the night, the weekend or a public holiday, and booking together costs the same as alone.

What women often say afterward

Afterward it’s almost never about the sex, though that comes up too. What’s mentioned most is something else: that someone took the time. That there was no phone on the table. That the question of how it really was got asked in earnest.

And nearly always the remark that all the worrying beforehand turned out to be unnecessary.

Doubts I often hear

“Isn’t it sad to have to pay for this?” No, and I mean that. You pay for time and the full attention of someone who knows this trade. How you fill that time, you decide.

“Aren’t I too old for this?” No, and I hear that question just as often from women in their thirties. The women who book me are between twenty and eighty, and most are in their fifties and sixties.

“What if there’s no click?” We notice that in the writing, well before there’s a date. Then there’s no meeting.

Changing your mind is allowed

Halfway through as well, even when everything was already planned. That’s no failure and for me no problem at all.

In reality a date often goes a different way than planned. It can calm things; it doesn’t have to. I steer toward nothing and have no stake in what does or doesn’t happen, as long as you feel good about it and look back on it without regret.

This is how it starts
