Hanseatic city
Gigolo in Lübeck
Brick Gothic, an old town on an island, and a beach twenty minutes away. One of the finest cities in northern Germany.
A city on an island
Lübeck’s old center lies on an island in the Trave, enclosed by water, and the whole of it is on the World Heritage list. The Holstentor in front of the bridge is the image everyone knows, but it’s what lies behind it that makes the city: narrow passages between the houses, courtyards where it suddenly goes quiet, and seven towers that rise above everything.
From Amsterdam it’s about five hours’ drive. A night or two days works better here than an evening.
What we can do together
The Gänge and Höfe, those hidden alleys you’d never reach without a guide. The Marienkirche with the bells that crashed through the floor in the bombing and were left lying where they fell. The Buddenbrookhaus, for anyone with a feeling for Thomas Mann. And marzipan, which the city is famous for and which you then suffer from for two days.
Travemünde is twenty minutes away: a wide beach on the Baltic, with a promenade and in winter almost no one. For a walk with some wind about it, that’s just right.
Language
German, English or Dutch, and switching halfway through is fine.
Who I come here for
For women in a marriage where touch turned into habit rather than attention years ago. For women who, after a loss or a divorce, plan a few days for themselves and don’t want to be alone. For women who lost their husband. And just as much for women who live in the smaller places on the coast, where everyone knows everyone.
And for couples who want something together. See my services for what’s possible.
Practical
About five hours’ drive from Amsterdam. You hear the travel-cost amount before a date is fixed and it doesn’t move after that.
No surcharge for the night, the weekend or a public holiday, and booking together costs the same as on your own. Out of season an apartment in Travemünde is dirt cheap on top of that.
Where we meet
Usually in a hotel, in the old town or on the coast at Travemünde. The latter has an advantage: out of season it’s empty there, and an apartment with its own door is more discreet than any lobby.
Home works just as well. Then we settle beforehand how I arrive and where I park.
How a first meeting goes
First a few messages back and forth. I want to know some things, you want to know some things, and during that exchange it falls into place on its own. At this distance we usually call once as well.
On the day of arrival we take plenty of time for the beginning. For nearly everyone that takes longer than they’d pictured, and it makes the rest easier.
After that you hear nothing more from me, unless you want to.
Changing your mind is allowed
Halfway through as well, and even when you’ve set aside two days for it. That’s no failure, and on my side there’s no objection.
Stays on this coast often go a different way than planned anyway, usually a quieter one. The weather plays its part in that.
If you’re still on the fence
A message brings no obligation. Some women email me with a single question and leave it at that. Others write months later as if no time had passed.
There’s no pressing, and no reminder comes.
What women often say afterward
It almost never starts with what happened in bed. What gets named more often is the calm, and strikingly often the walk: that an hour on an empty beach with the wind about it stirred more loose than an evening of talking.
And then the sigh that they took far too long to write.
This is how it starts
Send me a message with which period you have in mind. Whether you want to stay in the old town or rather by the sea at Travemünde, I’m glad to think it through with you.
Wherever you live
Shall we talk first?
Tell me briefly what you have in mind and where you are, and I will see if it fits. No obligations, no hurry, and everything you write stays between us.
