Silk city
Gigolo in Krefeld
Once made rich by silk and velvet, and still visible in the villa districts. Close to the Dutch border.
The city of velvet and silk
Krefeld grew immensely rich from silk in the eighteenth century, and you can still see it in the broad avenues and the townhouses around the Ostwall. With two hundred and twenty thousand residents the city is easy to take in, and it lies right by the Dutch border. Two and a half hours from Amsterdam, far less from Limburg.
What we can do together
The Museen Haus Lange and Haus Esters, two houses by Mies van der Rohe that are now museums and that you visit even if you have nothing with art. Burg Linn, a moated castle with a village around it that you would easily take for Dutch. The Rhine at Uerdingen. And the Botanischer Garten, small and free.
If you would rather sit somewhere quiet straight away, that is just as good a start.
Language
Dutch, German or English. In this corner you hear Dutch so often that nobody looks up at it.
Who I come here for
For women who are married and have missed for years what they do not say out loud. Also for Dutch women who live across the border here. For widows who feel they are not allowed to want this. You are allowed to. Just as much for women in the villages around the city, where people know one another.
And for couples who want to try something together. The offer is under my services.
What you may expect from me
On time, well groomed, no rush and no program in my head. I listen without pushing you one way, and whatever you tell me, I do not pull a face at it. There is remarkably little I have not heard before.
A boundary you name I hold to, even if you forget it in the moment yourself. And about you I speak to no one. Not now, not later, to no one.
Agreements about money
Krefeld is close by, so the travel costs are low. What exactly they are you hear along with the rest before anything is fixed: what we do, how long, and what the total is. Nothing is added afterward and there is no item that only becomes visible at the last minute.
I charge nothing extra for the evening, the night, the weekend or a public holiday, and a date with two people costs the same as alone. Only for a stay of several days do I ask for part in advance, because I then have to book accommodation.
Where we meet
Usually a hotel. Krefeld has enough of them with their own parking, and if you want to be right out of your own town, Düsseldorf is twenty minutes.
At your home works just as well. In the city itself that is rarely a problem. If you live in Hüls, Traar or one of the villages around it, we pay closer attention. I park where you want and, if need be, walk the last stretch.
Doubts I often hear
“I live in a village where everyone knows everyone.” Then the car does not come to your door and we meet in the city, or in Duisburg or Düsseldorf. That is not a complicated solution, it is a matter of thinking ahead.
“Doesn’t it feel strange to lay down money for this?” Not really. You pay for the time and attention of someone who takes this work seriously. What happens within that time, you decide.
“Am I not too old for this?” Certainly not. The women who book me are from their early twenties to well into their seventies, and the over-fifties are the largest group.
For couples
Couples write to me regularly. The reason is rarely dramatic. Something has changed in what one of them can still do or wants, or there is curiosity, or there is a fantasy that has been on the table for years and keeps getting put away again.
What it becomes you choose yourselves: watching, joining in, or waiting in another room. What I ask is that the conversation about it has really been held and that each of you can stop at any moment. Even once we are already busy, even without explanation. For two people you pay the same with me as for one.
What women often say afterward
What stays with them most is not what happened, but how they were listened to. That nobody looked at a clock. That a question was really a question and not a stepping stone to something else.
And this too, in varying words: that it was less nerve-racking than expected, and that it is a pity so many months went by before a first message was sent.
This is how it starts
Send me a message with where you are and when you could. An answer usually follows within a day.
Wherever you live
Shall we talk first?
Tell me briefly what you have in mind and where you are, and I will see if it fits. No obligations, no hurry, and everything you write stays between us.
