On the IJssel
Gigolo in Deventer
One of the oldest cities in the Netherlands, with a quay on the IJssel that has looked the same for centuries.
Old, and you see it everywhere
Deventer is one of the oldest cities in the country and you notice it in everything: the Bergkerk up on the hill, the Brink with its gables, the Waag, and the quay on the IJssel where the view has barely changed since the seventeenth century.
It is also a city of a good hundred and five thousand residents, so big enough that you do not run into people you know at once.
What we can do together
A walk along the IJsselkade, best in low sunlight. The Bergkwartier, the oldest quarter, with narrow streets and crooked houses. The ferry across, which takes two minutes and still makes you feel a small adventure. And eating out is good here, with plenty of places that are not on any list.
Outside the city lie the IJssel water meadows and the Sallandse Heuvelrug, half an hour off.
Who I come here for
For women who are married and have not been touched the way they would want in years, with no argument and no one at fault. Also for women who have to start again after a divorce. For widows, in whom grief and desire sit side by side, which is more normal than it feels. Just as much for women in the villages along the IJssel where everyone knows everyone.
For couples too. What is possible together is set out on the services page.
Where we meet
Usually a hotel, in the city or just outside it. Neutral ground, no neighbours, no house to tidy first, and a door that locks.
Home is fine too, of course, as long as you feel at ease there. That is the only criterion that counts. We then agree beforehand how I arrive, where I park and what I say if someone asks who I am.
Doubts I hear often
“Paying for company, isn’t that strange?” No. You pay for the time and attention of someone who does this seriously. What happens within that time is up to you.
“Am I not too old for this?” Not at all. From the early twenties to well over seventy, and the women over fifty are comfortably in the majority.
“And if there is no click?” You usually sense that in the messages beforehand. Then we plan nothing. No one is worse off for it.
Practical
From Amsterdam Deventer is about an hour and a half. An evening that runs long is doable; a night works better in practice. Plan it a week or two ahead, then I arrive rested.
Money matters
Everything is fixed before you commit to anything: what we do, how long, what it costs, and the travel costs for the drive to the IJssel. It gets no bigger than that. There is no evening rate, no night rate, no weekend or holiday rate, and booking as a couple does not change the price.
What it is not
No agency, no catalogue, no go-between. Your first message comes to me, I answer myself, and I am also the one at the door. Nothing gets ticked off and I run no script.
And it is not a performance where you have to prove something. You do not have to look like someone off the internet and you have nothing to apologise for.
The first time
Almost everyone is nervous the first time. That is how it should be. What helps is knowing what is coming, so we go through it beforehand: the place, the time, how I come in, and what will and will not happen.
And beyond that, nothing is required. A first date of talking and an embrace is not half a date. For many women that is exactly enough; the second time it goes further.
What you can expect from me
On time, well turned out, no hurry. I listen without steering you one way, and I do not pull a face at anything. There is genuinely little I have not heard before.
What you call a limit I hold to, even when you stretch it yourself. You set the pace. And about you I speak to no one, not friends, not others, ever.
This is how it starts
A message with your place and a period is enough to begin. Two lines will do.
Wherever you live
Shall we talk first?
Tell me briefly what you have in mind and where you are, and I will see if it fits. No obligations, no hurry, and everything you write stays between us.
