A city used to coming and going

Eindhoven is full of people who are there for a while. Engineers from India, designers from Italy, students from half the country, business guests who stay two nights. That makes this city one of the easiest in Brabant for this kind of date. An unfamiliar face in a hotel lobby is the most normal thing in the world here.

From Amsterdam I am in Eindhoven in about an hour and a half. Easy enough, certainly if we make it a longer evening or a night. I like to plan a week or so ahead, so I arrive rested.

What we can do together

Strijp-S, where the old Philips factories have been rebuilt into something you can wander around for hours. The Van Abbemuseum, for anyone who wants to see something that gets a conversation going. The Dommel, running straight through the city, where surprisingly quickly you meet nobody at all. And the food here is good, from small and informal to serious, with plenty of places where the light is low enough to forget what time it is.

If you would rather be out of the city, the Kempen is half an hour away. Woods, heath, and villages where nothing happens. Nice too.

And none of it is required. Many dates simply begin behind a closed door, with tea and a conversation that only gets somewhere after half an hour.

Who I come to Eindhoven for

For women who are here for work, far from home, who find that a hotel room gets very empty after a while. For women who are married and have not been touched the way they want in years. For women who have just divorced and wonder whether they have lost the knack. For women who have become widows. And for women who achieve a great deal and never get to simply be.

And for couples who want to try something together, where one of you watches, joins in, or just sits in the next room. The options are on my services.

How it works in practice

It starts with a message. In it you write briefly who you are, where you are, and roughly what you are after. Two sentences are enough. I do not need a polished letter and there is no right or wrong answer.

After that we keep talking, by text, by phone, or both. I want to know a thing or two, so do you, and during that conversation it clicks. A first meeting on neutral ground, with no obligation to take it further, is always an option. It happens more often than you think and it is a fine way to begin.

If we plan something, you know beforehand what happens and what it costs, travel costs included. Nothing is added afterwards. No surcharge for the evening, the night, the weekend or public holidays, and booking as a couple costs nothing extra.

Where we meet

Eindhoven has hotels enough, from businesslike and anonymous to small and quirky. For most women that is the most comfortable route. Neutral ground, no house to tidy, and nobody who sees a thing.

Home is fine too, of course. Then I arrive discreetly. No flowers, no loud greeting on the walkway, and I park where you want me to park. If you want me to ring only after you have given a signal, I do that.

What I do not do

I do not work from a script and I keep no list. I do not assume something has to happen just because something was arranged. Saying halfway through that you would rather just talk for another hour. Fine, and no waste. I do not get in touch with you afterwards unless you want me to, and your name is in no system anywhere.

What you can expect from me

Turning up on time and well-groomed goes without saying. After that I listen, without steering you anywhere, and nothing you tell me or ask startles me. What you have set stays set, whatever the moment says. You come up in no conversation of mine, not then and not later.

If you would rather speak English or German, that works too. It comes up regularly in this city.
