The fan city

Gigolo in Karlsruhe

Laid out as a fan from the palace, with the Black Forest and Alsace around the corner. Five hours' drive.

A city drawn from a single point

Karlsruhe came off the drawing board in 1715: thirty-two avenues fanning out from the palace like the ribs of a fan. You only really see it from the palace tower, and then you understand at once how the city fits together.

From Amsterdam it’s about five hours’ drive. Too far for an evening, easily done as a night or a weekend.

What we can do together

The Schloss with the garden behind it, where half the city lies out on a summer evening. The ZKM, a museum for media and art in an old munitions factory, far better than it sounds. The Günther-Klotz-Anlage along the Alb. And the Rhine itself, fifteen minutes away.

Around the city: the Black Forest starts half an hour off, Alsace lies across the Rhine, and the Baden wine route runs straight through it. For a weekend this is one of the finer bases in Germany.

Language

German, English or Dutch. You choose, and switching halfway is fine.

Who I come here for

For women who are married and have long missed what there are no words for at home anymore. For women who, after a divorce, plan a few days for themselves, far from anyone asking questions.

Widows, who are startled by what their body signals again. And women living in the villages along the Rhine or at the edge of the Black Forest, where the social watch is firm.

Couples are just as welcome. See my services.

Practical

Five hours’ driving. The travel costs that go with it you hear before we set anything, and nothing gets added afterward.

I charge nothing extra for the night, the weekend or a public holiday, and booking for two costs the same as alone. For a stay of several days I ask for a deposit, because by then I’ve booked accommodation.

Where we meet

Usually a hotel. For a two-day stay something in the Black Forest or along the wine route is often nicer than a city hotel: your own door, no front desk, and a view of the slopes in the morning.

At your place works just as well. Then we agree beforehand how I arrive and where I park.

Changing your mind is fine

Halfway through as well, even when you’ve cleared a long weekend for it. That’s not a failure and for me no problem at all.

Plan and practice often diverge. Calmer sometimes, and sometimes not at all. Which way it goes makes no difference to me, as long as you look back on it feeling good.

If you’re still on the fence

Getting in touch means nothing at all yet. Some of the women email me long before anything goes in the calendar, just to know how it works. From some of them I never hear again after that, and that’s fine.

No one is pushed and no reminder comes.

What it isn’t

There’s no organization behind me. No catalogue, no go-between passing on your preferences, no file your name stays in. From the first sentence you’re writing with the person who’ll come.

And it’s no performance. Your body doesn’t have to look like anything, your age is no objection, and what you’d like you don’t have to defend here.

The first time

Almost everyone has knots in her stomach the first time. What helps is that everything is discussed beforehand: the place, the hour, my arrival, and your limit.

Beyond that there’s no obligation. If it stays at talking and sitting close together, that’s been enough. For some of the women that’s exactly what they were after.

What women often say afterwards

The sex is almost never named first. What comes up more often is the calm: that no one watched a clock, that nothing was rushed.

And after that, almost always, the remark that it took months before that first message was sent, while in hindsight it was nothing.

This is how it starts

Send me a message with where you are and which period you’d want. For a stay I’m happy to think along about the place.

Wherever you live

Shall we talk first?

Tell me briefly what you have in mind and where you are, and I will see if it fits. No obligations, no hurry, and everything you write stays between us.
