Multiple orgasm

Coming several times in a row: a possibility, not a target you have to hit.

What is a multiple orgasm?

A multiple orgasm is getting several orgasms in close succession, within the same session. It happens more often in women than in men, because women usually have no recovery period after an orgasm. The term stands for the phenomenon, not for a performance you have to hit.

How a multiple orgasm works

It comes down to the recovery period. According to the encyclopedia, that recovery period is the phase after an orgasm in which it is physically impossible for a man to have another, while women often do not have that phase and so can experience a next one shortly after the first. Several orgasms in close succession are possible because of this, especially in women. How often it happens was mapped by Darling and colleagues: of the women surveyed, 42.7 percent had experienced it at some point.

Why people value it

The pull is that the pleasure does not have to stop at one peak. For someone who experiences it, a second or third wave can extend the arousal instead of closing it off. At the same time this is where the biggest trap sits: as soon as a multiple orgasm becomes a goal, it works against itself, because the pressure to perform takes away the very arousal it needs. That nearly six in ten women in that same study did not know it as a regular experience shows how normal it is for it not to happen. It belongs to what your body can do, not to what it must.

What I see myself

I’m Victor, a gigolo. I often meet women who feel they fall short if it stays at one time, usually because of what they read online. Almost always the brake is exactly that expectation. Once it is no longer a goal and nothing has to happen, sometimes more happens, and otherwise nothing is lost.

Where this fits on this site

If you want to discover your own response without anything having to happen, then the slow, aimless attention of tantra suits that better than chasing a number. The term is explained here; the rest comes or does not on its own, and that is exactly right.
