Incall
A word from sex work that pins down one thing: whose place the appointment happens at.
What is incall?
Incall is an appointment in the escort and sex work world that takes place at the provider’s place, not at the client’s. The client travels to the provider’s address, room or hotel. The opposite is called outcall, where the provider comes to the client instead.

Where the term comes from
Incall comes from English sex work jargon and is built from in plus call; the American dictionary dates it to around 1990. According to dictionary.com, an incall is “a visit by a client to a masseuse, sex worker, etc.” So the place is the whole point of the word: it decides who arranges the space and who is on home ground.
Why the distinction matters
For you as a client, incall saves arranging. The provider has the space ready, you only have to show up. For the provider, incall is home advantage: own room, own things, a place he knows. The downside belongs to the picture too. At someone else’s location you hand over a piece of control over your surroundings, and for your safety that weighs more than the convenience.
What I do with it myself
I almost always work outcall. I come to you, or to a hotel you book in your own name. That’s a deliberate choice. On your ground your safety takes care of itself, because you’re in a place you know and chose yourself. That the hotel is in your name and not mine is not a small point either: a provider who insists on booking it himself is exactly the kind of signal to watch for. Incall suits providers with a fixed work room more, and that’s not how I work.
