What is WAM?
WAM (short for wet and messy fetishism), also called sploshing, is a sexual fetish where people get aroused by wet or messy substances on the body, such as food, mud, or slime. It turns on the touch or the sight of the mess. Body fluids are pointedly not part of it.

Where the name sploshing comes from
The word sploshing doesn’t come from science but from a magazine. According to the encyclopedia entry, the term grew out of a now-defunct British fetish publication called Splosh!. The dictionary definition sums up the core tightly: a taste for substances with a slimy texture in sexual play, anything except body fluids.
