Anililagnia
A preference for older partners rather than a disorder.
What is anililagnia?
Anililagnia is the sexual attraction to women who are much older than yourself. The word comes from anile, an old woman, and the suffix -lagnia, lust. It is a form of age-based attraction. It differs from gerontophilia, which is about attraction to older people in general.

Where does anililagnia come from?
Anililagnia falls under what sexologist Michael Seto calls the chronophilias: attractions oriented toward age. Why someone is drawn to older women in particular is hard to trace. Often it comes down to experience, and to the calm of a woman who already knows herself, something people tend to place with an older partner rather than a peer. For one person it is the look of someone who knows what she wants. For another, what matters is that nothing has to be proven. It stays a preference, not a riddle.
Is anililagnia a preference or a disorder?
Anililagnia is a preference, not a disorder. A preference only turns into a paraphilic disorder when a person suffers from it themselves or when it harms others. A relationship between two adults with an age gap does not fall under that. Such couples have existed for centuries and are widely accepted.
Anililagnia is also not the same as a power game around age, and not the same as sugar dating, where money is the core. Here only attraction counts. Nothing more. A woman who is drawn to older women and is happy that way belongs in no diagnostic box at all.
